Augustin Tchantcho

Augustin (Augie) Aziz Tchantcho, is best known for his role as The General in The Gordon Frost Organisation’s Australian and New Zealand tour of The Book of Mormon. A versatile performer, Augie worked professionally in Kuwait and has proudly called Australia home since 2014. His Australian Theatre debut was in StageArt’s highly successful premieres of Dreamgirls (Marty) and The Colour Purple (Pa/Ole Mister) both of which received critical acclaim. Most recently he has been praised for his contribution to Melbourne Shakespeare Company’s King Lear (Albany). Augie began acting at the age of 15 and trained at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) He has also worked with internationally renowned mime artist Adam Darius. When not performing onstage, Augie dedicates his time to Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) training to enhance his strength, stamina and combat skills.
