Linda Cropper

GERTRUDE

One of Australia's most recognisable faces, Linda is best known for her role as Geraldine Proudman in television series Offspring. She led the cast of STC’s Grand Horizons to outstanding reviews, and wowed audiences in the MTC’s The Architect, winning a Green Room Award for Best Female Actor. Notable stage credits include Lady Macbeth in Macbeth and Gertrude in Hamlet, for Bell Shakespeare, Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest for Darlinghurst Theatre, Australian Realness for the Malthouse, and many more. Linda has worked on feature films including The Seventh Floor alongside Brooke Shields, The Perfectionist alongside Jacki Weaver, the groundbreaking Black Rock and more. Television credits include Pine Gap (ABC/Netflix), High Country (Binge) and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and Old School for the ABC. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Satisfaction and was a Silver Logie nominee for her work in the title role in Melba, based on the life of Soprano Dame Nellie Melba. She also appeared in HBO miniseries The Pacific and The Leftovers. Linda also works regularly as a voiceover artist and narrator. She is a NIDA graduate.
