Graduating from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University with a Bachelor of Musical Theatre in 2014, Jackson’s stage credits include: The Owl and the Pussycat (National Tour 2021, BrisFest, Festival 2018 - Matilda Award Winner Best Supporting Actor); Happy/Howard (Death of a Salesman - Matilda Award Nomination Best Supporting Actor); Bob (American Buffalo - Matilda Award Nomination Best Supporting Actor); Simon (Naked and Screaming); Benjamin/Snowball (Animal Farm); Demetrius (A Midsummer Night's Dream); Jon (Tick, Tick… Boom!); Hugh (Reagan Kelly); Warren (This Is Our Youth); Claude (Hair); Hunter (title of show); Mark (Rent); and The Baker (Into the Woods). In 2020, Jackson made his directorial debut with the children’s opera, There Once Was A Puffin, for which he also wrote the libretto alongside composer and collaborator, Luke Volker. Initially speech and drama-trained, Jackson toured with the Grin & Tonic Theatre Troupe for two years, and continues to work with Queensland Theatre, La Boite, Little Match Productions and numerous other companies throughout Australia as a teaching artist, adjudicator and freelance writer.
