Grace Ferguson

Composer & Musical Director

Grace Ferguson is an instrumentalist, composer and teacher, represented as an Associate Artist by the Australian Music Centre. Since studying classical piano performance at the MCM, she has been an active member of the arts community, producing original electro-acoustic music, performing live and collaborating with others across the forms of theatre, dance and film.

Selected past works for theatre include: Rebecca (Melbourne Theatre Company), Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf (Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre; Sydney Theatre Company), On the Beach (Sydney Theatre Company); Julius Caesar, Hamlet (Melbourne Shakespeare Company); We All Know What is Happening (Zurich Theatre Spektakel; Noorderzon Festival; Arts House). Awards include: Best Original Score for a Main Stage Production, Sydney Theatre Awards (On the Beach), APRA PD Awards finalist 2024 (Classical/Experimental), 2024 artist in residence at La Cité internationale des arts, through the support of Creative Australia and 2026 artist in residence at Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio (MESS).
