Laura Iris Hill is a graduate of Ballarat Academy of Performing Arts (now Federation University). This is Laura’s second production with Melbourne Shakespeare Company having previously appeared in Twelfth Night.

Laura spent 11 years in New York City predominantly performing, directing and teaching Shakespeare. Credits there include Hamlet, Macbeth and Much Ado About Nothing (all with Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival) Richard III (Hamlet Isn't Dead, NYC), Romeo and Juliet (Little Flame Theatre, NYC), Cymbeline (Hudson Shakespeare), Julius Caesar (What Dreams May Co, NYC). She also covered most of the rest of the play canon in performed readings. Other NYC credits include Cosi, Speaking in Tongues (both with Australian Made Entertainment), The Other Other Woman, Cupid and Psyche (both with Turn to Flesh).

Recent Australian credits include Ghosts, Soldier Boy (both with Theatre Works) and Lyceum Highway (Melbourne Writers Theatre). Film and tv credits include many short films, Any Questions for Ben, Happy Cancer Chick and as a recurring guest on Neighbours.

Laura teaches Shakespeare performance technique periodically in Melbourne. Look out for her classes.
