Born and raised in Melbourne, Egyptian-Australian actor Amir Antoine is thrilled to make his debut with Melbourne Shakespeare Company.

Amir is a graduate of 16th Street Actors Studio where he developed his acting foundation. Prior to and alongside his formal acting training he has worked and performed across a range of disciplines including movement, classical music, and voice. This diverse background has shaped his multidisciplinary approach to storytelling and has taken his work throughout Victoria and internationally across the Middle East.

His recent theatre credits include the Victorian premiere of Son of Byblos by Australian-Lebanese playwright James Elazzi (Asamina Theatre) where he played the lead role of Adam, as well as Dogfight (Theatrical), The Volition Experiment (Theatre Works) and Boojum (Victorian Opera).

On screen, Amir recently filmed the television series The Bean King directed by John Raftopoulos and starred in the feature film STUCK! directed by George Yacoub. Both projects are scheduled for release.
