Fran Sweeney-Nash

Little Stone

Fran Sweeney-Nash is an actor and theatre maker living and working on Wurundjeri and Bunurong Country. They value community engaged practices, queer dramaturgies and find great joy working in collaboration. Fran is excited by theatre's ability to bring people together through embodied storytelling. They delight in wacky and wonderful characters and worlds of myth and folklore: fools, witches, gods, faeries, enchanted forests, haunted houses and underworlds.

Fran has been nominated for a Green Room Award for Best Production (“Trophy Boys”) and has appeared on the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) Drama and Theatre Studies playlists twice (“Cactus” and “Trophy Boys”). Recent works include “Trophy Boys” (National Tour), “This is a Self-Portrait” (Testing Grounds), “Nowhere Gradually” (Science Gallery Melbourne), “Cactus” (La Mama), “The Peach Blossom Fan” (Victorian College of the Arts), “WORMS” (MUSE Festival), “Seven Seconds” (MUSE Festival) and “Land” (St Martins Youth Arts Centre). Fran completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2024.
