Born and raised in Melbourne Joanna has trained in Music Theatre at Showfit and completed her Bachelor in Acting at The Victorian College of the Arts. Upon graduating in 2018 Joanna debuted as Juliet in Melbourne Shakespeare Company’s Romeo and Juliet (dir. Jennifer Sarah Dean) and since then has appeared in many Shakespeare Productions, most recently as Lavinia in Titus Andronicus (dir. Kevin Hopkins and Claire Nichols). Professionally she has toured both Australia and the USA as Bluey and Bingo in Bluey’s Big Play (dir Rosemary Myers) and n 2019 Joanna appeared in the feature film Ride Like a Girl as Young Burnadette, featuring Sam Neill and Teresa Palmer (dir. Rachel Griffiths) and in 2021 guest appeared in Miss Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries Season 2 Come Die with Me (dir Lynn Hegarty). Joanna has trained in singing, classical piano, violin and both classical and contemporary dance. Now living and working in London she is returning for a beautiful summer with Melbourne Shakespeare Company’s 10 year anniversary show of A Midsummer Nights Dream and can’t wait!
