Tref is an MSC veteran (which, oddly, possibly explains both the grey hairs and the lack of them). He trained at various physical theatre schools in France, Italy and the UK in the latter parts of last century. Recent credits include King's Player (Victorian Theatre Co), Becket and the Rainbow Girl (Bloomsday), After Aida (Athenaeum), Bright Star (Pursued by a Bear), Travesties (Bloomsday), Adventures in Neverland, The Tempest, A Winters Tale, As You Like It and Romeo & Juliet (Melbourne Shakespeare Company).
