Kian Pitman

Kian Pitman is an Australian actor with international experience across theatre and screen. Born in Australia and raised in Malaysia, she trained in London at RADA and The Actors Centre before completing her acting degree at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where she received the 2018 Shakespeare Award for her portrayal of Romeo in Romeo and Juliet.

Her stage credits include “Nicky” in Shakers (dir. Orna Joseph, London), Twelfth Night with Bar’d Work (touring), Yellow Face (dir. Tasnim Hossain – KXT) in its award-winning, sell-out season, The Sweet Science of Bruising (Theatre Travels), and How to Defend Yourself (Redline/Outhouse, The Old Fitz). Screen credits include PLAYDATE (feature, dir. Luke Greenfield), Nakabingwit: First Comes Love, MASCOTT, and The Wall Street Journal (TVC), among others.

Kian works between Vancouver and Melbourne and is also a teaching artist and coach, having worked with NIDA, ATYP, The National Theatre, JMC, and The Smith Family, mentoring performers for international productions including The Last of Us (HBO), Virgin River (Netflix), ELLE (Amazon), Allegiance (CBS), Tracker (CBS), The Irrational (NBC), and Watson (CBS).
