Alex Hargraves is a stage production designer, artist, and performer currently based in Naarm Melbourne. With particular interest in absurdist and non-naturalistic styles of performance, his work is meaningful and created with detail and passion.

Studying a BFA of Production at the Victorian College of Arts (VCA), he has both practical experience and theoretical understandings of the design and performance process. Throughout his high school journey studying IB theatre at the Queensland Academy of Creative Industries (QACI), he worked in set, costume, lighting and sound designer for various small and large scale performances. He is also an alumni of the Queensland Theatre’s Young Artist program, in which he worked as the set designer for The Astral Planes (2024) and The Landmine Is Me (2025).
