Assistant Sound Designer

John Augustine Sharp is a Melbourne/Naarm-based composer and sound designer for theatre, film and games. He recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Interactive Composition at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).

His recent credits include BEASTS (Persona Collective & Theatreworks); Nihilistic Optimism on Trampolines (Theatreworks); Their Eyes Spoke of Everything (VCA); The Garden of Broken Things (Meerkat Productions); and Hibernation (VCA). John has recently joined Melbourne Theatre Company as part of their ‘Future Creatives Program’, and was the assistant composer and sound designer for their 2025 production of Mother Play.
