She began her journey in dance before leaping into musical theatre, children’s entertainment, and puppetry. In 2016, Jem hit the road with Meerkat Productions, touring Theatre in Education shows to schools across city and country Australia. These days, she’s thrilled to help create the colourful costumes and puppets for their 2022–2025 Book Week tours.

When she’s not on tour, Jem loves sharing the joy of performance with young audiences—teaching dance and drama, running holiday programs, roving with puppets at big events, and performing with Trash Puppets and Packed House Productions at places like the Sydney Opera House and Federation Square.

Now a proud mum of two cheeky boys, Jem has poured her heart into puppetsmithing and costume design. This is her third adventure with MSC’s design team.
