Maxwell Simon
Musical Director & Composer
Maxwell Simon is a graduate of the Music Theatre program at Victorian College of the Arts.
Treasure Island is Maxwell's fourth show he's written music for, for MSC, having also written for The Teddy Bears Picnic (Book by Jennifer Dean, Directed by Carl Whiteside), Adventures in Neverland (Book by Jennifer Dean, Directed by Carl Whiteside) and Robin Hood (Book by Jennifer Dean, Directed by Carl Whiteside).
Maxwell is also an established performer having performed in many musicals around Australia. His credits as a performer include: Moulin Rouge! Produced by Global Creatures (Standby for Christian and The Duke), ‘Frederic’ in The Pirates of Penzance for The Hayes Theatre Co., ‘Greg Connell’ in The Boy From Oz produced by The Production Company, ‘Ex’ in Bananaland for The Sydney and Brisbane Festivals, ‘Bjorn Ulvaeus’ in Muriel’s Wedding The Musical - National Tour for Global Creatures, ‘Duke Orsino’ in Twelfth Night produced by Melbourne Shakespeare Company and many more.
