Ryan (he/they) is an award-winning fat/queer theatremaker, producer, and writer based in Narrm (Melbourne).

His theatre practice is in queer and site-specific work which aims to make the world a little better. His work has toured across the country, and he has won awards at Melbourne Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and been nominated at Fringe World Perth.

Ryan is a graduate of Monash University’s Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Arts. At Monash he studied at the Centre for Theatre and Performance, and was one of the students who organised the campaign to save it in 2020 from being shuttered (he has a chip on his shoulder about it).

Ryan is a fierce advocate for the indie theatre sector, doing theatre criticism on TikTok, organising theatre excursions with No Drama Drama Club, and seeing 150+ shows a year as Co-chair of the Green Room Awards Independent Theatre Panel.
