Ishan Vivekanantham

Set Designer

Ishan Vivekanantham is a set and costume designer for live performance who is interested in creating visually striking and immersive worlds on stage. He is a recent graduate from the Master of Production Design course at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), and has designed for productions including ‘Inconsolable + 4’ (dir. Georgina Naidu), ‘Krapp’s Last Tape’ (dir. Lincoln Gidney), ‘My Mum Died and I Wanna Sing About It’ (Melbourne Fringe), and The Australian Ballet’s ‘Storytime: Cinderella.’ Recognised for his craft, he has received the ‘Cassidy Bequest – Production’ (2022) and ‘Trina Parker’ (2023) scholarships for design, and most recently, the inaugural ‘Truscott Prize’ (2024) supported by the Truscott Foundation, Victorian Opera and the Victorian College of the Arts.
